He was born April 14, 1897, at Watts, Arkansas to Sherman and Sallie (Bratton) Griffin. He had lived in Searcy county most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Ada (Treat) Griffin, a son; Floyd Griffin, two sisters and six brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Donnie Ward of Sutter, California; five grandchildren, one sister, Floy (Griffin) Thomas of Russellville, Arkansas.
Internment was in Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
