Charles and his younger brother Albert were both born in Wisconsin. They died within a month of each other in 1876 in Sarpy County. After their deaths, the parents moved to Pierce County, Washington. Their father died in 1910 in Pierce County at about age 65 years. Their mother remarried (Peckham) and died in Pierce County at the age of 83 years. Charles and his brother, Albert, were their only children.
Charles died at the age of 9 years 3 months.
