Stanley Boyer, 78, of Harrisburg, died Tuesday, December 24, 2002 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
He was a retired metallurgist from Bethlehem Steel Corp., a member of the former Olivet Presbyterian Church; Veteran of the United States Army, World War II; the U.s. Navy Reserves; member of the German-American Club; Hunters and Anglers Club and Democratic Committeeman for City Ward 13-3.
He was the widower of Sadie Boyer. He is survived by one son, Stanley Boyer, Jr., of Hummelstown; one daughter, Karyn Rae Gruber of Harrisburg; one sister, Hilda Boyer of Wilkes-Barre; one brother, Harry Boyer of Greenwich, CT; four grandchildren, Lauren and Casey Boyer and Ashley and Kierstyn Gruber.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, in the Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 23rd and Derry Streets, Harrisburg. Buriel in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday, in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, South Central Pennsylvania Chapter, Governor's plaza South, Building 2, 2001 North Front Street, Suite 321, Harrisburg, PA 17102.
