William J. "Bill" Theis, 86, of Aurora, surrounded by the company of his loving family, returned peacefully to the Lord, Thursday, December 13, 2001.
He was born July 8, 1915 to Peter and Theresa (Grommes) Theis. Bill was united in marriage on November 24, 1949 to Regina Raines. They happily shared 45 years together residing much of that time on the Theis Farm in North Aurora. Together with his brother, John and John's wife, Barbara, the four spent most of their lives working the family farm. Those who knew Bill knew him best for his kind heart, generous spirit and great stories. He was a lifetime member of Annunciation Catholic Church and devoted servant of the Lord who will be greatly missed. Bill lived a rich, full life. He was active in the Kane County Farm Bureau, a member of the Luxemburger Club, bowled on a league well into his 80's and met his "buddies" for breakfast and stories after daily mass.
He is survived by many dear nieces and nephews including four whom he helped raise, Mary (Mark) Hauser, Robert (Linda) Reines, Patricia Reines and Therese (Todd) Augustine; he leaves behind his special sister-in-law, Barbara (John) Theis; and numerous wonderful friends, neighbors and relatives.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Regina; his parents; and his three brothers, John, Ralph and Al.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 17, 2001 from THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY at 9:30a.m. to Annunciation Church at 10:00a.m. Fr. Mario Pedi, O.S.B. will officiate with interment in Marywood Cemetery.
