Alvenia Williams Walker was born July 18, 1953 to the late Lawrence Moore and Goldie Benjamin.
She was adopted and raised by Mary and Ellis Lawton, both have preceded her in death. She resided in Crescent City during her adolescent years, and attended Middleton High School, now known as Middleton-Burney Elementary. She graduated from Crescent City Jr.Sr. High School class of 1972. After high school, she attended Nursing School in Gainesville. As a child Alvenia was a member and attended Walker's Chapel under the leadership of Elder George Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three sons, Tyrone Williams (Charlie), Orlando, Darrold Williams, Jacksonville, Jovon Williams, Crescent City; two daughters, Sharonda Williams and Carla Williams, both of Crescent City; brothers Eugene Moore (Ruby), Orlando, Roosevelt Lee, Orlando, James Moore (Doris), Cocoa, Ervin Moore (Shelia), Connecticut, Lawrence Moore (Frances), Metchen, N.J; sisters, Agnes Addison and Annie M. Lee, Crescent City, Delcie Moore, Seville, Charlie Armstrong and Peggy Black, Orlando, Annie Eva McLeod (Jimmy), Connecticut, Earlene Johnson (Freeman), New Jersey, Michelle McAlpine, South Carolina; grandchildren, Queshawna S. Cook and Quantavia D. Williams, Crescent City; goddaughters, Taakelia Fulton, Latoya Richardson; special friends, Fred Douglas, Everett Evings; best friend, Mary Slaughter; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral will be Saturday, August 26, 2000, 3 p.m. at Walker Chapel Church of God By Faith. Calling hours are Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the church from 2 p.m. until time of service.
Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Crescent City.
