Alfred B. "Buddy" Griffith, 71, of Kents Ridge Road, Richlands, died March 6 in a Richlands hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Richlands and was a son of the late Joseph E. and Bessie Hayton Griffith, both Tazewell County natives.
He was a retired steel worker for the Great Lakes Steel Company in Detroit, MI. He had made his home in the Richlands area for the past 15 years.
Survivors: sisters, Virginia Mutter of Southgate, MI, Mildred Hurley of Wyandotte, MI and Joan Smith of Durham, OK.
The funeral was conducted March 9 at 3:30 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Dr. James B. Hollenhead officiating.
Interment followed in the Hankins Cemetery in Richlands.
