ONEIDA - Muriel W. Weller, age 86, formerly of Stoneybrook Road, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, Oct. 19, 2010 in the Stonehedge Health and Rehabilitation Center of Chittenango.
Muriel was born on March 9, 1924 in Oneida, N.Y., a daughter of the late Merrill J. and Mildred (Lavender) Winterton and was a graduate of Oneida High School.
Muriel and Robert M. Weller were united in marriage on May 18, 1946 in Oneida Valley and shared that union until Robert's death on April 3, 2007.
Prior to her retirement in 1986, Muriel was employed as a bookkeeper with the Oneida Agway.
Surviving are her two sons and daughters-in-laws, Richard and Cathy Weller of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Robert and Cindy Weller of Baldwinsville; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Shawn, Megan, Ryan, Heather, Jeremy and Caitlin and; eight great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Malecki Funeral Home, 464 Sherrill Road, Sherrill. Prayers for Muriel will be offered at noon at the funeral home with a graveside service to held at 12:45 p.m. in Verona Cemetery, Main Street, Verona. In memory of Muriel, donations may be sent to a charity of one's choosing.
