Funeral services were held at St. Rose Church Wednesday morning, July 10, for Joseph Richard Cambron, retired Washington County farmer who died at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Lebanon Monday morning, July 8, 1957, at 9:30 of a heart attack. Mr. Cambron, age 72, was taken to the Lebanon Hospital last Thursday for treatment of a leg fracture. He had not responded to treatment since breaking his leg three weeks ago at his home in the St. Rose section of this county. He was the son of the late Ben and Mahala Medley Cambron. He was born and spent his entire life in Washington County. The body was prepared at the Hale & Polin Funeral Home in Springfield and returned to his home Tuesday morning to await rites. Mr. Cambron was buried in St. Rose Cemetery. Pallbearers were Herman Warren, Damian Blandford, Joe Moraja, Dan Smith, Ben T. Luckett, and Don Smith. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lida Smith Cambron; six daughters, Mrs. R.M. Osborne, Marion County; Mrs. W.D. Hagan, Mrs. Irvin Mills, Mrs. Charles Corley, Mrs. Buford Brady, and Mrs. Robert Luckett, all of Louisville; two sons, Henry and Joseph Cambron of this county; two brothers, Clem Cambron of Bardstown and Ed Cambron of Louisville; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Smith, Louisville, and 21 grandchildren.
