Born June 2, 1906 in Hendricks County, he was a son of Harry and Dora (Brown) Bailey. He graduated from Lizton High School in 1924. He had worked for Hygrade and Safeway Foods and farmed. Mr. Bailey lived near Lizton most of his life, moving to Speedway only six years ago.
He is survived by his widow, Mary (Montgomery) Bailey, who he married on March 25, 1926 at Lizton; a daughter, Genevalois Brewer of Texas; a sister, Vileta Hider of Indianapolis, and granddaughter, Debra Griffin.
