Mrs. Carrie Austin Campbell, 66, of 236 Kingsbury Dr., died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday in her residence.
She was born in Waynesboro Jan. 6, 1917, a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Viola McCauley Vess.
Mrs. Campbel retired Jan. 1, 1982, from the inspection department of the Waynesboro Du Pont Co. plant after 40 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard William Campbell, on June 8, 1959.
Survivors include two daughters, Ms. Carolyn Campbell of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Ron (Wanda) Henderson of Lyndhurst; and four grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Waynesboro Chapel of Etter Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Stanley Shirk and the Rev. Roy D. Kiser, with interment in Augusta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Aubrey Hiner, Graham Hicklin, David Layne, William Gordon, Johnny Braden, Earl Henderson and Frank Campbell.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight in the funeral home.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Waynesboro Mennonite Church Building Fund.
