BETTINGER—At the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ross Phares, Fulton street, Phoenix, N. Y. on Tuesday, January 7, 1947, Aaron A. Bettinger, aged 97 years, a retired farmer. He was born in the Town of Clay on November 25, 1849, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abram Bettinger. A Mason for over 40 years he belonged to Liverpool lodge of F. & A.M., 525. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Phares and Mrs. Maurice Hamlin of Phoenix; two sons, Harvey and Howard Hettinger, both of Liverpool; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Phares in Phoenix, Rev. Elvin B. Granger, pastor of the Liverpool Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be made in Pine Plains cemetery
