Mrs. Patrick Henry Bocock died at her home near Mt. Olivet Church May 15th after an illness of ten days.
Death was due to paralysis.
The deceased was 73 years of age, and was Miss Sudie Jane Griggs before marriage.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: John T. Bocock of Roanoke; Henry Letcher Bocock of Bassett; Joe L., Peter D., Drewry W. and Jas. W. Bocock of Martinsville; Mrs. O. D. Lewis of Danville; and Mrs. Frank L. Barrow of this county. Two sisters, Mrs. T. L. Griggs of Spray, N.C. and Mrs. T. M. Oakley of Dillwyn, and one brother, Ben Griggs of Top Not, N. C.
A number of Grand children, nieces and nephews acted as pall bearers.
Funeral services were conducted at the home Friday afternoon. Interment was made in Oakwood Cemetery.

A notice appeared earlier in the paper dated May 20, 1930, p. 1, col. 3, was slightly different in naming the survivors as: John T., Henry L., Joseph L., Peter F., Drewey W., James W. and Mesdames Sallie R. Lewis and Frank Barrow, plus two sisters, Mesdames Flora Griggs of Spray, N.C. and Thomas Oakley of Buckingham County, Va., and one brother.
