SALEM, KY. ­ Larry G. "Jerry" Baker, 62, died June 23, 2004 at Livingston Hospital.

He was a member and trustee of Emmaus Baptist Church. He taught Auto Body Repair for the University of Kentucky and was the owner of Baker's Body Shop in Marion.

Surviving are his wife, Avonna Long Baker of Salem; three daughters, Katrina Elder of Marion, Krista Baker of Salem and Michelle Johnson of Colorado; a brother, Raymond Wayne Baker of Allen Park, Mich.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Wood Baker and Goldie V. Curry Baker; and a sister, Ruby Lucille Baker.

Funeral services were June 28 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Max Hansen and Rev. Jerry Thurman officiating. Burial was in Owen Cemetery.
