The funeral services of the late Lewis Johnson were held at the M.E. church in this village on the 11 inst. Mr. Johnson was formerly of this place but the latter part of his life was passed at Five Corners, Cayuga County. He was at the time of his death in his 89th year and as the ripeness of age drew him nearer the end, he was held but those who knew him as being one known for his uprightness and manly honor that was characteristic throughout his many well spent years.
