CRADDOCK, JEAN: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice

San Diego Union-Tribune, The (CA) - November 15, 2005

Deceased Name: CRADDOCK, JEAN

Craddock, age 70, of El Cajon, passed away November 8, 2005, after a long battle with cancer. She will live in the hearts of those who knew her as an extraordinary person who lived life to the fullest, never met a stranger who didn't become a friend, and treasured her large and loving extended family, as well as a devoted group of lifelong friends. Her faith and strength during her long illness were an inspiration to those around her, as were her enduring kindness and great spirit. Born in New Underwood, South Dakota, on August 6, 1935, Jean moved with her family to the San Diego area in 1941 where she spent the rest of her life working, worshiping, caring for her family, and enjoying life to the fullest. Along with her devoted husband, William Craddock, she was an active participant in the San Diego Pearl Harbor Survivors' Assoc. Jean is lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, her 93 year old mother, Marguerite Bell; her four children and their spouses, Becky and Bill Kennedy, Lloyd and Jennifer Scott, Ed and Amy Craddock, and Ellis and Kathy Craddock; her nine grandchildren, Lacey, Shane, Lindsey, Jennika, Kaitlyn, Chelsey, Brittney, Zane, and Lachlan; and a great grandson, Kaiden. Survivors also include her five siblings and their spouses, Harry and Bev Bell, Vergil and Joan Bell, Gladys and Harry Gaugh, Bev Nurse, and Craig and Bernie Bell, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Memorial Services will be on Saturday, 11 a.m. on November 19th at the Fletcher Hills Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Jean's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
