The Wenatchee Daily World - July 25, 1906
Mrs. William Lloyd aged 26, died at her home in this city at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon of tuberculosis. She is survived by her husband and one child. She came here about seven months ago suffering from the disease that caused her death, in hope of benefiting her health. The funeral services will be held from the parlors of Hall's undertaking establishment at 6 o'clock this evening.

Josie Griffey was born near Richmond Mo. on the 6 day of August 1880 and died at her home in this city, Tuesday evening, July 24. She was united in marriage to William Lloyds on the 24 day of May 1896. Unto this union was born two children one died in infancy while the other remains with his father. Although Josie was a sufferer of that dreadful disease, consumption she was always bright and cheerful, until at last when she could stand the hard winds no longer the grip reaper saw fit to cut her young life short. She was prepared to go even like the lilies, of the valley, she faded away and died. Her husband did everything to make her life a pleasant path of sunshine, but alas it was all in vain, for Our Father who art in heaven and "suffer thee not for such is the kingdom of heaven" Josie was a member of the Christian church. She leaves a father, brother, one sister a kind and loving husband and a little son Robert besides a host of friends to mourn her loss.
Sleep on sweet Josie go to thy rest, God has called thee to come home he thought it was best.
