LOGAN - lna Jean Hall Andersen. our sweet loving mother, passed away on April 2, 2001 at the Logan Regional Hospital. She was 74 years old, born on Dec. 22, 1926 in Hyrum, Utah to William George Hall and Sarah Ellen Maness Hall. She married Elwin Hansen Andersen Oct. I 1, 1950, in the Logan LDS Temple.

They owned and operated a dairy farm in Richmond where
they lived and raised their family. They have three daughters,
Linda Rae Andersen Weeks, Tremonton; Elaine (Steve) Ward, Richmond; and Mar Jean (Preston) Watts, Smithfield.

Ina Jean grew up in Hyrum, one of eleven children. She attended Hyrum schools and graduated from South Cache High School and Seminary. Throughout her early years she always wanted to work, especially outdoors, doing such jobs as picking corn, beans, and berries, and thinning beets. Later she had many beautiful flower gardens. She also enjoyed working as a sales clerk in a variety of stores. After her marriage, she helped her husband on the farm. She prepared meals for those who worked at the farm and she was an excellent cook. She was very talented at baking and candy making. When her children were older, she spent many years working as an elementary school teacher's aid. Later she worked as a clerk typist at local public libraries.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many positions. She taught the young women in the MIA and she taught every class in the Primary except for the scouts. She was the ward Primary secretary twice and was on the Benson Stake Primary board as a secretary and a historian. She also was the ward in service leader. Early in her marriage, Ina and her husband Elwin were in charge of a large group called "The Young Marrieds" where they planned dinners and programs for members of the old Richmond South Ward. Much of her life was dedicated to doing genealogy and temple work. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary unit 33 where she held the position of President and Secretary. She was an active member of the PTA, many times volunteering for school and community activities, especially those involving her own children. Her first and most important priority was always her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her children and grandchildren very much.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers DaWayne Hall, William J. Hall, and sister Fern Hall.

She is survived by her sisters Mrs. Rufo (Verda) Peterson, Loyalton, Calif., Mrs. Leo (Luella) Hoskins. Providence. Mrs. Melvin (June) Jones, Sacramento. Calif..
