Doris L. Larson Evans, 70, of Collinsville, Ill., died Friday, June 17, 2005, at her home.

Services are 4 p.m. today at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, with the Rev. Mike Evans officiating. Visitation is 2 p.m. to services today.

Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where a commital service will be held Wednesday, June 22. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, Caseyville, Ill., where she was a member.

She was born Sunday, March 24, 1935, in Moline to Victor and Florence Olson Larson. She married Jackie DeWayne Evans June 29, 1953. He is deceased.

Doris was a traffic manager for WHBF-TV and traffic manager for American Air Filter. She was also a retired OSD clerk for Roadway Express.

Survivors (and spouses) are her sons, Michael (Julie) Evans, Collinsville, Steven D. (Phyllis) Evans, Moline, and Kenneth G. (Jill) Evans, Summerville, S.C.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Bert Larson, Fairfax, Va. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gene Larson.
