Mrs. Elizabeth M. (Lusher) Bowden, 74, 1521 Butler Ave. Ext., died at her residence today at 10 a.m. following an illness of a week.
She was born in Sandy Lake, Pa., on September 11, 1880 to David L. and Margaret Forbes Lusher and has resided in this city for 34 years, coming here from Ellwood City. She was a member of the Eastbrook UP church and the Ladies Missionary society.
Surviving are her husband, Elvin C., one daughter, Mrs. Allee M. Cotton, this city; two sons: Willard M. Bowden, Cleveland and Clarence L. Bowden, this city; two sisters: Mrs. Mae Sumner and Mrs. Bertha Householder, both of Ellwood City; one brother, James R. Lusher, Ellwood City and eight grandchildren. Two brothers, Charles and George, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Ray Cunningham Funeral Home, 454 Chestnut St., with Rev. Earl Hughes in charge. Interment will follow in the Eastbrook UP cemetery.
