Elder Sankey, aged 67 years, died Thursday morning at 5 o'clock at his home in Neshannock township following an illness of about two weeks.
Mr. Sankey was the son of the late Elder and Elizabeth Shoaf Sankey. He was well known in the community having lived in Neshannock township all his life. He was a member of the East Brook church, I.O.O.F. lodge of New Castle and the Carpenters Union.
Besides his widow Mary Sankey, he leaves four sons, Claude W., superintendent of schools at Ida Grove, Iowa; Captain W.E. Sankey of Fort Banning Georgia; Paul R. of Youngstown and Herman S. Sankey of West Winfield, Pa. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: James Sankey of California, Amzi B. Sankey of Neshannock township; Mrs. Ella Davis of Volant and Mrs. Amanda Davis of Atlantic, Pa.
