The funeral for Mr. Elmer Aubry Adams will be Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at Elkins East Chapel in Center Star at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Bluewater Cemetery. Mr. Adams' family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.Mr. Adams, 68, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003. He was born in Rogersville and was a seasonal resident in Seminole, Fla., since 1995. He retired in 1995 from Reynolds Aluminum as a slitter operator after 35 years at the can plant in Sheffield. Mr. Adams was a member of the Carpenters Union, served in the Air Force for eight years before and during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Church of Christ.Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Mary Darlene Adams; daughters, Donna Foster and Pamela Austin, both of Muscle Shoals, Sandra Thompson, of Anderson, Sherry Newton, of Rogersville; brother, James Adams, of Lexington; sisters, Agnes Britton, of Rogersville, Nadine McCrary, of Lexington, Beatrice Embry, of Vestel Springs, Tenn., Emma Jean Hankins, of Jackson, Tenn., and Juanita Ingram, of Florence; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
