Joseph Davis Sr., 60, 3115 S. Hackley St., died at Ball Memorial Hospital Sunday morning. He was a lifelong resident of Muncie.
He retired due to a disability in 1967 after 23 years of employment at Delco Battery. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose No. 33, Delco Battery Retiree Local 489 and Delco Sympathy Club.
Surviving are his wife, Joan; three daughters, Mrs. Joan Herron, Mrs. Pat Adkins and Mrs. Pam Dean, all of Muncie; four sons, Joseph Jr., Farmland, DeWayne, Eaton, Dick T., Muncie, and Ronald, Van Buren; and 24 grandchildren.
Services will be in Parson Mortuary at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Roy Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory. Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and an hour before services Tuesday. The family requests memorials be sent to East Central Indiana Heart Association. Moose Lodge No. 33 will conduct memorial services at 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
