Reed, 929 West Prairie Street, passed away at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday night in the St. Vincent Hospital. She had been sick seven weeks, and was for some time a patient in Memorial Hospital at Springfield. About 10 days ago she was
removed to the home of her daughter in this city and last
Sunday she entered the local hospital. Mrs. Crenshaw was born at Raywick, Kentucky, October 8, 1880, the daughter of
Robert and Margaret Shipp. She and Arthur Crenshaw were married about 28 years ago. Mr. Crenshaw is a machinist at
the state fair grounds, Springfield. Mrs. Crenshaw was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband and
five children:Mrs. Mary Hagemeyer, of Overland, Missouri;
Mrs. Anna Mae Reed of this city, Arthur and Edward Crenshaw
of Springfield and John Robert Crenshaw, U.S. Army. One son,
Calvin, preceded her in death in 1937. She also leaves 2 sisters, Mary Etta Shipp of Raywick, Kentucky; Mrs. Myrtle
Gray, Wilmington, Delaware; 4 brothers, Arthur Shipp of Princeton, William Jefferson Shipp of Pekin, Estel of Princeton and Charles of Campbellsville, Kentucky, and 12
grandchildren. The body was removed to the Bisch and Son
Funeral Home at Springfield, where arrangements for the funeral are incomplete.
