Funeral services for Betty Jo SIMPSON, 48, Elgin, who died Monday in an Oklahoma City hospital after a brief illness, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sterling Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph PATTERSON officiating. Burial was in Celestial Gardens Cemetery of Cyril under direction of Robbins Funeral Home of Fletcher.
Mrs SIMPSON was born August 3, 1934, in Eagle Town. She grew up in the Fletcher-Cyril area. She had lived in Elgin for the past 22 years. She was retired from the civil service at Fort Sill. She was a member of the Ellsworth Outcast CB Club.
She married Harold Ray SIMPSON December 15, 1950, in Sterling. He died January 21, 1979.
Survivors include 3 daughters, 1 son, her mother, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and 8 grandchildren.
