Albert Rewligh Hatfield, known as Ab or A.R., passed away January 30, 1989 at the age of 78 in a Wichita Falls hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Montague County April 29,1910 to George and Mattie Hatfield. He had lived in Clay County for 52 years. He was a retired, farmer, rancher and oilfield employee. Ab loved to fish and work in his yard. He was a devoted husband and father. Survivors include his wife, Goldie of Henrietta; four sons, Willie of Ringgold, Texas; Donald of Electra, Texas; Bobby of Bellevue, Texas, Jimmy of Bowie, Texas; four daughters, Inez Adams and Helen Harris of Bowie, Texas; Patsy Curtwright of Apache, Oklahoma; Jeraldine Maddox of Henrietta; two sisters, Rose Paggett of Barling, Arkansas and Em Huff of Dodge City, Texas; 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Henrietta with the Rev. George Topper, pastor, and Rev. Jim Leath officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Stanley Seabourn, Chester Seabourn, Joe Alcorn, Nelson Hopkins, Don Langford and Edd Laughon.
