Claudine Rae (Prewitt) Cowan was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother (Nana). She passed away on October 21, 2021, after a brief illness at the age of 86. Claudine was born in Twisp, Washington, and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, as a newlywed in 1954 with her husband, "Bud" Cowan.

She was a homemaker and a business owner who supported her husband in his business ventures, finally owning and operating New Mexico Motorcycle Salvage together for many years. Claudine was a tiny person but was fierce in taking care of her family and herself. She has been described as Spunky. She garnered respect in her many roles and from her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. You didn't want to cross momma! So many of her children's friends called her mom and she was proud of that. She was fun, laughed easily and touched so many people during her long life. Her life was devoted to helping her husband and family achieve their dreams.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Cowan; her daughter, Michelle Newlan; and her great granddaughter, Jewelisiana Sandoval; and other family members.

She is survived by her brother, Gary Prewitt; her daughters, Zoanne Kabriel, Roxanne Holloway, Laura Sandoval; and her son, Monty Cowan; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Claudine was beloved by many and will be sorely missed.
