FAIRFIELD - Harry Dull Fox, 79, of the Decatur community at Rt. 1. Fairfield, died Monday (Jan. 24, 1983) in Staunton. He was born Aug. 7, 1900 (error - 1903) in Rockbridge County, son of Ralph H. Fox and Lula J. Sweet Craig Fox. Fox was a member of Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. He was retired from the B&O Railroad. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Frances (Miller) Fox on Feb. 15, 1966; two brother, June L. Fox and J. Franklin Craig and one sister Margaret Craig Cash. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lula F. Rice of Alexandria, Mrs. Rebecca F. Gowin of Springfield and Mrs. Betty Jo Bishop of Steeles Tavern; one son Harry M. Fox of Charlottesville; one brother Clarence Fox of Decatur; seven grandchildren. A service will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday at Fairfield Cemetery by Dr. Homer T. Cornish. The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at Harrison's Funeral Home in Lexington. Pd. Ob."
