Betty Louise Chappell Armacost 85, Indianapolis, passed October 14, 2010. She was the daughter of Merrill and Winnie Chappell of New Castle. Betty lived her life with an energy, spirit and sense of curiosity that continues to inspire those that knew and loved her. She, under the stage name Karon Elizabeth Armacost was an entertainer, radio personality, and restaurateur. A true entrepreneur, Betty will be remembered most as the beloved matriarch of the Armacost family. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Maxine (Hedrick); brother, Merrill; daughter-in-law, Margret, and her husband of 57 years, James. Survivors: sons, Jeff, Vincent Bruce, Brad, Scott and daughter, Jana (Musser) and spouses; sister, Lucille Darnell and niece, Sharyn Hedrick; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Betty lived for those she loved and those she loved are the better for it.
