Mallie Martha (Link) Jacks was born in Carroll, Platte County, Missouri. She was the eldest child of Ardelma (Payton) and John William Links.
Mallie married Lewis Watson Jacks on November 17, 1898 in Platte City, Platte County, Missouri. To them was born one daughter, Marie Frances Jacks.
Marie Jacks and her father Lewis Jacks, sued Mallie Link Jacks's father, John William Links, in 1921 over the Estate of James Mattison "Madison" Payton. Mrs. Mallie Jacks died at their home near Loring Tuesday May 29 after a brief illness. Mr. Jacks moved to the Holyfield place from Platte County, Mo., this spring.
Her name before marriage was Mallie Link. She was the daughter of William Link of Linkville, Mo. The body was shipped to her old home for burial.
Mr. Jack's were welcomed into Loring neighborhood and they had built great hopes in their new home. She was of one of the old Missouri families and an excellent woman.
Mr. Jacks has the sympathies of the whole community in his hour of loss.
