LAUREL — Mary Vaughnteen Aycock Norton
Mary Vaughnteen Aycock Norton, 82, of Laurel, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Memory Chapel with burial in Myrick Cemetery in Jones County. Rev. Robbie Johnson will officiate.
She was a retired nurse and a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sam Aycock; second husband, Mutt Norton; and a daughter, Brenda Beiderwell.
Survivors include two sons, Elvin Aycock and wife Ginny, and Fred Aycock and wife Donna, all of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Kay Lyons and husband David of Laurel; one step-daughter, Katie Collins and husband Dwight of Laurel; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Davy Lyons, Mike Lyons, Attly Aycock, Parker Aycock, Kevin Aycock and Douglas Walters. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Walters and Steven Aycock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be held from noon until service time Saturday at Memory Chapel of Laurel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
