Sr. Mary Angelica Mycek, CSSF passed away Saturday (Sept. 25, 2010) in the Holy Family Infirmary, Enfield, CT. She was a beloved member of the Felician Sisters Community in Enfield for 70 years. She was born in Amsterdam, NY on May 1, 1923 a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Bialon) Mycek and beloved sister of the late Rev. Anthony Mycek, John and Mary Mycek and Jane Garratt. Sister Angelica taught at the former Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Longview Catholic High School/College for over 35 years. Relatives and friends may gather with the Felician Sisters Community during calling hours and prayers on Monday (Sept. 27, 2010) from 2 – 4:30 at which time the Prayer Service and transportation of Sister's body to the Chapel will take place at OLA convent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Sister Angelica on Tues. (Sept. 28.) at 10:30 am in the convent chapel. Burial will follow in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Enfeld. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the Felician Sisters Retirement Fund 1315 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082. Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT has been entrusted with Sister's arrangements.
