John A. Leveroney
John Augustus (Gus) Leveroney, 93, died yesterday morning at a Redding Convalescent Hospital.
Leveroney, who was a carpenter until his retirement, resided in Tehama County for 88 years, coming here from Fresno when he was five. He was a lifetime member of the Westside Grange.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ida [Jessie] who died last June 6.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Mrs. Margree Smith of Redding; a nephew, Bill Kestner, Red Bluff; and a grand-niece, Margaret Kanter of Stateline.
Funeral services will be held at the Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. – Transcribed by M.
