Patrick James Thomas, 65, of Canyon Country, California, passed on August 3, 2002 in Mapleton, Utah after a brave battle with cancer. He was born on April 24, 1937 in Carolltown, Pennsylvania to Stella and James Thomas.
At an early age, Patrick and his family moved to Chatsworth, California. He grew up with four brothers and four sisters. When Patrick was 23 years of age, he was drafted into the army as a paramedic. After the military, he became a truck driver for LTL and Service Air Cargo. In 1977, Patrick became an owner/operator and subhauled for Piggy Back Consolidators.
On April 5, 1975, Patrick married (living wife). He took her five sons under his wing and raised them as his own. Later, Patrick and (his wife) were blessed with two daughters and one son. Patrick is the grandfather of fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with more to come.
Patrick James Thomas had been an example of love, hard work, and fun. He was a loyal son, loving husband, playful grandpa, and forever a hero in the hearts of his children. We look forward to being with him again.
