MYRTLE E. ANDERSON
Miss Myrtle Elizabeth Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Anderson, passed away at the family home in Benton township, 8 miles south of Chariton, on Tuesday, August 24, 1920, after a brief illness with appendicitis. She underwent an operation on Monday at the home and died the following noon.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. E. W. Curtis, will be held at the United Brethren church in Chariton this forenoon at 10 o'clock, after which interment will take place in the Chariton cemetery.
Deceased was born in this county on Sept. 30, 1902. She received her education in the country schools and was a good student, and a favorite among her schoolmates.
She had been a member of the United Brethren church for some time and her life had been in keeping with her Christian profession. She was beloved by all who knew her and her death in young womanhood, when life seemed full of promise, has brought sadness to many hearts.
She is survived by her parents, two sisters and one brother, and to them the sympathy of the entire community is extended.
