As a small child she came to Keya Paha County, Nebraska with her parents in a covered wagon to make their home in a dugout west of Springview before moving to a farm west of Meadville where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Hugh Blake July 5, 1902, and to them one son, Clyde, was born. They lived continuously in the Springview area until 1947 when they moved to Ainsworth. She was a resident of Park Homes until the last two years, and had been a resident of Bethel Nursing Home since that time. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters, her husband in 1948, son Clyde in 1969, an infant son and infant twin daughters, two grandsons and one great grandson.
Survivors are four grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and two great grandsons.
