Michael Anthony Aguilar, passed away at his home in St. Joseph.
He was born March 7, 1951, in St. Joseph, the son of Dorothy and Fred Aquilar. He retired from Quaker Oats in 1999. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Michael was a member of United Cereal Workers Union and St. James Catholic Church.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Fred Aquilar.
Survivors include mother, Dorothy Aguilar of St. Joseph; three sons: Michael Aguilar of Olathe, Kan.; Jeffrey Aguilar and Shawn Aguilar and wife, Misty, of St. Joseph; two daughters, Michelle Aguilar-Casares and Shannon Aguilar of Kansas City, Kan.; seven grandchildren; two brothers: Matthew Aguilar of Shawnee, Kan.; and Mark Aguilar of St. Joseph; four sisters, Janice Gross and Cynthia Claywell of St. Joseph; Toni Aguilar-Lewis of Indiana; and Mary Cox of St. Joseph.
