Born Jan. 27, 1916, in Wayne County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Robert Cullen and Ethel Fairchild Bell. On Jan. 3, 1935, she married William R. Nichols in Burfield, Ky., and he died May 4, 1975. She married Hervey King of Bradenton on Sept. 14, 1978, in Remington, and he died on March 30, 1983.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Lou Carter (husband: Lawrence) of Indianapolis and Mary Ann "Duke" Critser of Rensselaer; two sisters, Cleora Bell of Remington and Lela Young of Wolcott; grandchildren, Steve Carter (wife: Marilyn) of Indianapolis, Bill Critser (wife: Nada) of Crown Point, Andy Critser (wife: Lora) of Peoria, Arizona and Joan "Joni" Marie McClusky (husband: Doug) of Griffith; 11 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Raymond, Ralph, Amos, Lyle and Howard Bell.
