OBITUARY: (Cobb Funeral Home)
Mrs. Ruby Marie Davis, 87, of Magnolia, AR, and formerly of Gosnell, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at the Magnolia Memorial Hospital. Born May 6, 1918, in Harrell, AR, the daughter of Walter Benjamin and Mertie Mae Robertson Williams, she was a homemaker and a member of Gosnell Baptist Church. She was a longtime member of the Gosnell Home Extension Club and had served as a judge in the canning booth at the Mississippi County Fair. She was actively involved in community affairs and had been a recipient of the Lions Club Citizen of the Year award. She had also been a former chairman of the Seat Belt Awareness Committee, going to various schools and educating the students about the importance of using seat belts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Davis; two daughters, Patti Winfree and Rebecca Davis; and a brother, Roy Williams.
