Hazel A. Merrill, 88, died Wednesday at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg.
The funeral was held at the Seymour Funeral Home.
Mrs. Merrill is survived by a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ruth Strang; a nephew, Allen Smith, and two nieces, Marie Bombard and Evelyn Smith.
Born at Massena Point on March 4, 1901, daughter of Frederick and Emma McGee Smith, she was married to Harman Dowe on Aug. 29, 1945, in the First Methodist parsonage, Norfolk, with the Rev. F.J. Brown officiating. Mr. Dowe died Feb. 3, 1947.
She then married Lyle Merrill. He also died before her.
Mrs. Merrill was a member of the Potsdam Methodist Church and Vega Chapter 98, Order of the Eastern Star.
