Florence M Barnhouse, 84, 1015 Lilly Road, died at 1:45 a.m. today at Alliance City Hospital, following a long illness.
Before retiring, Mrs. Barnhouse taught in several Alliance area schools.
She was born Feb. 7, 1900, to Michael and Lora Bixler, and had lived in Alliance since 1924.
Mrs. Barnhouse was a member of Church of Christ in Sebring. Her husband, Arlie M., died in 1972.
She is survived by a son, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Barnhouse was preceded in death by a son, C. Michael, in 1976; a sister, Ellen Bixler, in 1902; and a brother, Joseph Bixler in 1938.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Sharer-Stirling Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joe Clinger officiating. Burial will be in Alliance City Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. (10-19-84)
