Jesup - Alexander Westberry, age 75, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He was a native of Wayne County, a retired Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Navy serving from 1955 - 1975, a member and elder of the Jesup Presbyterian Church, member of the VFW Post #4583, loved to travel and was a member of the Jesup High School 1954 State Football Championship Team.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Justina Westberry of Jesup; one son: Andrew and wife Morgan Westberry of Jesup; stepson Bill and wife Sharon of Jesup; granddaughters, Tracy and husband husband Jimmy Aspinwall of Odum and Amy and husband Steve Ellis of Screven; four great-grandchildren: Jessica Aspinwall, Madison Aspinwall, Kyle Ellis, and Zach Ellis; sister-in-law, Sue Westberry of Brunswick and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Jesup Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bill Platt officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jesup Presbyterian Church.
