John Clinton Anderson was born May 11, 1868 in White county and died February 1, 1954 at Uplands Sanatorium, Pleasant Hill. He married Mary Jane Wallace October 13, 1889 and they had 5 children: Joe and Billie, deceased; Ephraim, Buffalo, NY; Milton, Homesteads; Ethel Simmons, Pleasant Hill. He is survived also by another daughter, Vergie Smith, from a previous marriage. His wife died in 1952.
Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs Attie Davis, Spencer; Mrs Flora Dycus, Sparta; one brother, Roe Anderson.
Funeral services were at the Pleasant Hill Community Church with Masonic burial services graveside at Pleasant Hill cemetery.
