He was born Dec. 2, 1893, in Yellow Creek, the son of the late Henry P. and Catherine (Smith) Bowser. He was united in marriage to Ora Cypher August 19, 1915, and she died June 21, 1947.
He is survived by one son James Cypher Bowser of Hopewell Rout 2; one brother, Scott Bowser of Hopewell Rout 2 and four grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death.
The deceased was a well known farmer, a native of Bedford County. He was affiliated with St. Paul's United Church of Christ (Reformed).
Mr. Bowser was the president of the Yellow Creek Cemetery Association.
