Harold W. (Dink) Ansel, 69, of 131 South Pembroke avenue, South Zanesville, restaurant and laundromat operator, died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday at Bethesda hospital shortly after being admitted of an apparent heart attack. He had been ill for about one week.
Mr. Ansel was born June 18, 1902, in Saltillo, a son of Ezra and Clyde Beecham Ansel. He spent his early life in Fultonham, but had lived in South Zanesville for the past 35 years.
He operated Ansel's restaurant and a laundramat since 1950. He was a member of the South Zanesville United Methodist church.
Surviving are his widow, Thelma E. Barnett Ansel; two sons, James W. Ansel, of 24 Beechrock drive, South Zanesville, and Joseph E. Ansel, of 312 Mel-Kay Way; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Carolyn) Denton, of 325 Galena street and Mrs. Ronald (Betty) Taylor, of Route 7; a sister, Mrs. Kay Hoge, of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Robert Ansel, of Orange, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the William Thompson and Son Funeral Home at White Cottage where friends may call 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Monday.
