Funeral services for Mr. Adam Cole Volentine, age 24 of Columbia, will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Columbia with Rev. Eric Harriman and Rev. Wesley Manning officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the church from 5 PM to 8 PM. Mr. Volentine was born in West Monroe, LA on January 15, 1986 to his parents Randy Ledale Volentine and Lisa Powell James and passed from this life on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at his residence. Adam was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbia and he served with the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Mahlon Volentine, maternal grandfather; Turner Neal and his step-father; Jessie "Ed" James. Survivors include his mother; Lisa James of Columbia, father; Randy Volentine and wife, Karen Dawn of Baskin, two daughters: Kallysta Raine Volentine, age 5 and Riley Kate Volentine, age 3 both of Columbia, grandparents: Dale and Jan Powell of Columbia, Margaret Neal of Winnsboro, Dorothy Volentine of Grayson, Jerrell Dean and Bonnie Brady of Baskin and Buddy and Ethel James of Columbia, two brothers: Eddie James, Jr. and wife, Tracie of Houston and Lee Volentine and wife, Amie of Crowville, two sisters: Hollie James Worley and husband, Andrew of Columbia and Miranda Volentine of Baskin, special aunts: Janette and Jackie Lawrence of Columbia and Milburn and Lorie McMurry of Grayson and nieces and nephews: Lane James, Trevor James, Mahlyn Volentine, Madlyn Volentine, Austin Worley and Bryson Worley. Pallbearers will be Kevin Towell, Cody Hightower, Jesse Rucker, Logan Cooper, Stephen Townsend, Trent Hillstead, James Cook and Andrew Wardlow.
