In 2010, I spoke with Gloria Hoffman Milne who was born to Eloise Requa in 1922.
Eloise's father was John Edgar Requa.
J Edgar (1865-1901), died in his 30's (suspected poisoning).
John Edgar's sister was Edith Requa (1871-1939) and she had married James H Smith (1870-1927).
They had a daughter Helyne (1906-1987)who married John C. Botbyl (1907-1994).
During the 1930s, the Requa Coal and Lumber Company in Monsey, New York was helped being run by John Botbyl.
Gloria mentioned that her father, John William Hoffman (1892-1972) was an accountant and would help with the accounting of the business when he would come home from his job and on weekends.
Helyne and John had twin girls Mary and Nancy who served as flower girls at Gloria's wedding to Kenneth Milne on June15, 1947 at the Spring Valley Reformed Church in New York.
