Mr. Wiley Layvon Armstrong formerly of Brundidge, Alabama, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at his home in Abbeville, Alabama. He was 79. Visitation will be Monday, October 11, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home in Brundidge. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Revs. J.C. Turner, Avert Walker and Gerald Ross officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, wife of 58 years Yvonne Armstrong of Abbeville, Alabama; children, two sons, Bobby (Holly) Armstrong of Alaska, Frank Armstrong of Alaska; four grandchildren. Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home of Brundidge, AL, (334) 735-2100, is in charge of arrangements.
