Mrs. Hunt died at 7 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2010, at West Vue Nursing Center. She was born April 3, 1917, at Moody, MO, to John and Ida Bales Nicks. On Jan. 11, 1936, she was married at West Plains, Missouri to Tesley "Tess" Hunt, who preceded her in death on July 14, 1994. During World War II, she was a certified welder and boilermaker in the ship building industry. Before her retirement, Mrs. Hunt helped operate a service station at Moody, Missouri. She was baptized at a young age and was a member of the Moody Church of Christ.
She is survived by five children, Junior Hunt, wife, Vonda, West Plains, Aliene Gordon, husband, Wayne, Dodge City, KS, Ronnie Hunt, Moody, MO, Roger Hunt, West Plains, and Norman Hunt, wife, Beverly, West Plains; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents; husband; one grandson, Larry Gordon; two sisters; and four brothers, precede her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to Moody Cemetery and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
