Mrs. Rose Keller Dies This Morning
Mrs. Rose Keller, 84, of 412 North Fifth street, well-known Decatur lady, died at 3:58 a.m. today at the Adams county memorial hospital. She had been a patient at the hospital for 10 weeks following burns suffered at her home.
She was born in Seneca county, O., May 2, 1884, to Charles and Mary Neiss-Reinhart, and was married to Edward Keller March 7, 1905. Her husband preceded her in death July 27, 1957.
Mrs. Keller was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic church, the Third Order of St. Francis, Rosary society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, St. Anne study club, St. Vincent DePaul, and the Women of the Moose.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Marcella( Loshe of Decatur, and Mrs. Joe (Betty) Mallory of Duarte, Calif., three sons, Jerome, J, Herman C. and Florian E. Keller, all of Decatur; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Two sons, Harold and Robert; one daughter, Lucille, and 15 brothers and sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Mary’s Catholic church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Simeon Schmitt officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. Friends may call at the Zwick funeral home after 10 a.m. Sunday until time of the services. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday, and the women of the Moose will hold services at 7:30 p.m. Monday. (March 29, 69)
