Born in Montague County, Texas and came to Tillman County in 1902; married Lillie Dugan in 1908, she died in 1917; married 1919 Bama Springer, she died in 1922; married third, Pauline Tidwell in 1923; survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Frank (Vera) Sparks and Mrs. H. R. Little, both of Davidson; Mrs. U. J. Butler, Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Bill Tyler, Hobart; two sons, Foy of Wichita, Kansas and Bobby of Abilene, Texas; a step-daughter, Mrs. J. K. Young of St. Paul, Minnesota; two brothers, M. C. of Bowie, Texas and Ernest of Muleshoe, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Sidney Gurley, Mrs. Sam Houston and Mrs. John Norwood, all of Artesia, New Mexico; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
